A full-service agency in New Haven since 2009
Fair Harbor Travel opened in New Haven, Connecticut in 2009, planning ocean cruises, river cruises, plus custom Europe weeks. We work from 900 Chapel Street, with most clients in Connecticut, New York, plus Rhode Island. Our planning covers cruises, tours, villas, plus independent rail routes, quoted line by line.
The three advisors you work with
Nancy Coleman compares ocean lines, cabins, plus sail dates, with a focus on the Caribbean, Alaska, plus Hawaii. Alice Fontaine plans Europe, honeymoons, plus protection plans, with a focus on Italy, Greece, plus France. Robert Hale covers cruises, Japan, plus group logistics, with a focus on timing, transfers, plus pace.
You keep one advisor from first call to return home, so notes never scatter across desks. We log your cabin picks, hotel needs, plus air preferences in one record. You always know who to call when plans shift.
How planning moves forward
Consult comes first, a 20-minute call covering dates, budget, plus party size. Quote follows within 2 business days, with line items for fare, taxes, transfers, plus options. Booking locks your cabin or rooms once you approve the sheet plus deposit terms.
Documents call runs 2 weeks before departure, covering passports, boarding passes, bag rules, plus port times. In-trip support stays open while you sail or tour, with rebooking help when weather or strikes intrude. You return to a short debrief so future quotes start from what worked.
Typical 2026 totals run 1,200 to 2,500 dollars per person for 7-night Caribbean cruises. Europe river weeks run 2,400 to 4,500 dollars per person for 7 nights. Custom Italy or Japan weeks run 3,800 to 7,500 dollars per person for 10 nights, with air extra.
What we do not do
We do not hold cabins without deposits, quote without dates, or stack hidden fees. Taxes, port charges, plus gratuity rates appear on every sheet. You approve each line before any card is charged.
Wave season from January to March brings reduced deposits plus amenity credits on many 2026 sailings. We track those offers weekly, repricing held cabins when rules allow. You keep every credit the line permits, documented on your sheet.
