The Zambia Free Press Initiative (FPI) is implementing the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Project, a long-term initiative running for two and a half years in selected provinces across Zambia.
This project is funded by Interlink Academy, with support from the German government.

• Mtendere

Project focus areas

The project is designed to empower community members with practical knowledge on:

Cyberbullying and digital harassment
Online safety and responsible internet use
Misinformation and disinformation
Hate speech and how to counter it
Media literacy and critical thinking

Through these trainings, FPI aims to help communities become more informed, safer online, and better equipped to engage in digital spaces responsibly.

Training locations

FPI conducts Media and information literacy trainings in areas including:
Ndola, Kitwe, Mufulira, Chipata, Petauke, Lusaka West, Mutendere, Kafue, Mazabuka, and other selected locations.
